Early reminder for British Motoring Festival

It’s not too soon to plan going to the British Motoring Festival in Windsor NS., July 14-16. Organized by the BATANS group out of Halifax, the annual event is the finest British-only car show in the Maritimes usually drawing around 150 entries. Tagged as one of FABAC's major “go-to” events and with overnight accommodation at a premium, booking now without delay is recommended. For five years Shirley Ann and I have stayed at the DownEast Motel (www,downeastmotel.com/tel: 902-798-8374) which is a clean, quiet, reasonably priced place to stay, about five minutes drive from the show grounds and adjacent to restaurants and a car wash. We’ve already booked and understand  some rooms are still available for reservation.

To get to Windsor, you can either drive the longer way through beautiful NB and NS, or take the Saint John to Digby ferry for which early booking is also recommended. In past years, Bob E. has made arrangements.
Details of the 2017 show can be found at www.britishmotoringfestival.com. Following the show, we’ll be joining a group of Batanskis to tour Cape Breton.
